Bangkok... Big City, Beautiful People

I've always loved Thailand and have been to many parts over the years from Chang Mai to Phuket and places in between... and of course Bangkok. This trip was just a short visit to Bangkok... too short a visit. The people there are still, as always, the friendliest and most beautiful people in the world. Every time I visit, a piece of my heart stays. This time a large chunk of my heart stayed.

First night was with friends in an English pub and Captain Morgan paid me a visit. Things got a little blurry as the night went on... I do remember a band playing... I remember Guns N Roses... then Queen... then walking down the sidewalk trying to decide left or right. I was told which way but I'd forgotten. And then it was morning.

The second day was spent with a new friend, a friend I consider lucky in finding... a friend that spun my world around... we went shopping, had lunch, and walked around the city. That night I did a quick walk down Soi Cowboy... a really quick walk, then found quiet bars and nursed cool rum on ice.

Next day was spent with another friend touring Tescos and dodging thunderstorms on the outskirts of downtown. It was a great afternoon shared with a great friend and spicy noodles, one that will never be forgotten. That night I slept in heaven, in total peace... it was the best rest I've ever had.

Thailand truly is a magical place... the magic is in the beautiful people and friendly smiles.
